Title: Fisheries Problem Determination Period Covered ____— November 1, 1964 - October 31, 1965 Objectives: Analysis of data to determine specific fisheries problems in the concerned waters. Procedures: Field data collected during the progress of other project work was examined in order to define specific fisheries problems and examine new fishery develop- ments in Region 2-A. Findgngs: In addition to past, well defined fisheries problems (rough fish populations, vegetation growths and lack of proper fisheries management) the problem of public access has been brought to light. Fishermen should be informed on where the public has access to fishable waters. This brought about a public access survey (Job A-3). This job will be continued in the F-4-R-13 segment. Selective die-off of river carpsucker (Carpiodes carpio) continues in Lake Kemp. A study has been initiated to determine the cause or causes (Job D-2).
