Specimen NotesObservation of 2 "white catfish" approximately 1.25 to 2 inches long. Individuals presumed to be Prietella phreatophila by Dean Hendrickson, but possibility of de-pigmented surface species cannot be entirely ruled out. Observation reported by Jack Johnson (NPS) during mapping of small cave named by JJ as "Catfish Parlour Cave". One week after intital observation a group of specialists (Jean Krejca, Adam Cohen, Andy Gleusenkamp, Gary Garrett) came to investigate further with assistance of JJ and did not find the fish.
Event RemarksAfter intial observation collectors visited the site and did not find specimens but recorded field notes as fieldnumber AEC20150429-1. Jack Johnsons notes are now associated under this field number as well.
