Remarks: UMMZ 86940, MCZ1671, and MCZ1672 are the same 1854 occurrence as per Miller and Hubbs (Gila pandora, a Cyprinid New to the Texas Fish Fauna, 1962). They suspect the true locality to be a trib of Lago de Guzman or the Mimbres River north of Deming, NM. MCZ has since updated their database to indicate: 'Orig. listed as comming from Texas. But the identification (R.R. Miller, 1961) and historical data ( J.P. Hubbard, 2007) document that these could not have come from Texas but from the Mimbres R., New Mexico. (not in the range of the species)...'. FoTX accepts the updates to the records including the georeference provided by MCZ (https://mczbase.mcz.harvard.edu/guid/MCZ:Ich:1671).
