Identification Comments
ID complete | As per e-mail from Andrew Williston and Karsten Hartel (received Feb18,2010) -looks to be ID'ed correctly, but needs to be re-georeferenced to Mexico. "Review of the available labels for MCZ 60905 Gobiomorus dormitor indicates the specimen is from Mexico not from Rio Frio, Texas, and also that the data provided to you was not as complete as possible. The MCZ database locality reads, “North America, Mexico, Tamaulipas, Rio Frio. DR1.” One label in the specimen jar has a more extensive description (see image at right) suggesting “Juarez y Mante, Tamaulipas, Mexico.” The Gobiomorus dormitor ID was confirmed by Robert Rush Miller in 1984."
