ID Comments: dorsal rays 6 - G. affinis is the only Texas species of Gambusia which typically has this few dorsal rays

suspect flag — ID looks to be correct assumeing G. speciosa never has 6 dorsal rays. We are not suspicious of the location or labeling errors, but think the solution to resolving this is to re-evaluate this lot and possibly examine more Gambusia specimens from the Devils River.
