suspect flag — This lot needs to be examined. There are not two Cyprinodon species known from this location so ID is therefore suspect. There is a good possibility that this is a hybrid Cyprinodon pecosensis X variegatus from the Pecos since the term 'Cyprinodon hybrid' (with no parent species given) is used by OSU to refer to specimens in a series of lots collected from the upper Pecos. We further suspect that this is one of those because the catalog number is nested within this series and the collection date is very similar. At this time the point is placed at given coastal location, but this record needs more reearch.
