Event RemarksECS notes (compiled from F.D. Martin; C. Hubbs former student): 'Old Town' or 'Old Town Station' was the name C. Hubbs gave to the area roughly where the Blanco River meets the San Marcos River, just E of San Marcos. The station itself fell where Avoca Ranch Rd makes its closest approach to the Blanco River, but collecting referencing Old Town took place in the Blanco River as well as upstream and downstream in the San Marcos River.
