Location found in a report by Barton Warren Evermann (https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/item/148449#page/134/mode/1up). the report indicates Nicholstone refers to the property of Fred Nichols. The location of the property is marked on Google Maps as 'Nicholstone on the Bayou'. Googleing that term online results in this site (http://www.nicholstone.com/), which states 'Nicholstone on the Bayou is a private residence that overlooks Dickinson Bayou. It was once the country estate of Fred McCraven Nichols...' Evermans' report indicates they sampled 'several miles above and below that place'.
