Occurrence RemarksRadiograph is of a type; The Smithsonian NMNH Division of Fishes uses the convention of maintaining the original species name for type specimens designated at the time of description. The currently accepted name for this species is Microdesmus longipinnis. The following radiograph lots, RAD103852 and RAD111393, are of the same specimen lot, but were intentionally assigned separate object catalog numbers as they originated from different accessions.
