CAS Catalog of Fishes indicates that Pantosteus plebeius is the valid species for this taxon. Need to re-assign all records of Catostomus plebeius to Pantosteus plebeius. Similarly the native range assigned to Catostomus plebeius needs to be given to Pantosteus plebeius instead.
