Found on upper continental slope (Ref. 114953). Oviparous (Ref. 50449). Eggs have horn-like projections on the shell (Ref. 205). Males reaches maturity at ca. 96 cm TL (Ref. 114953).
Max length: 107.0 cm TL.
Reproductive mode: dioecism; fertilization: internal (oviduct); nonguarders (open water/substratum egg scatterers); parental care: none. Oviparous, paired eggs are laid. Embryos feed solely on yolk (Ref. 50449).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC), assessed 2019-06-21. Resilience: Low (Assuming fecundity<100).
