Inhabits small streams, small rivers and especially adjacent shallow marshes and pools.
Max length: 3.5 cm TL.
Reproductive mode: dioecism; fertilization: internal (oviduct); bearers (internal live bearers). After about 24 days gestation, female gives birth to 10-20 young. Sexual maturity is reached after three months (Ref. 2060).
