Biology
Inhabits rubble and boulder riffles and runs of creeks and small to large rivers, and gravel shoals of lakes (Ref. 5723, 10294). Adult feeds on mayfly larvae and crayfish (Ref. 10294).
Max length: 31.0 cm TL; common length: 13.2 cm TL; max age: 7 years.
Reproductive mode: dioecism; fertilization: external; guarders (nesters).
