Characters
Body shape: short and / or deep. Pectoral fin membrane thin and translucent, no fleshy pad on ventral surface of rays (Ref. 13608). A pale gray species generally lacking of any markings, at most, it has light gray spots. Smaller than vespertilio, reaching only about 7 cm SL. Subopercular lateral line scale count usually 6 (5-7) (Ref. 40824)..
