Biology
Inhabits clear, cool headwaters, creeks, and lakes at elevations above 2100 m. Entire life history is spent in freshwater (Ref. 46888). Oviparous (Ref. 205). Eggs are buried in unguarded nests (Ref. 205).
Max length: 71.0 cm TL; common length: 29.8 cm TL; max weight: 4980 g; max age: 9 years.
